PHUKET, Thailand – A hotel owner near Phuket airport has returned a stash of euro banknotes worth about 100,000 baht to a French guest who had left them behind in a wardrobe, earning heartfelt thanks and a modest 100-baht tip.

Guy Petcharat posted a photo of the handover on Facebook at 10.35am on Friday, thanking his team at OASIS Phuket Airport and saying he believed any hotel would do the same — if a guest leaves something behind, it must be returned.
He explained that a housekeeper found an envelope stuffed with euro notes after the guest had checked out and travelled to Koh Samui.
