BANGKOK, Thailand – The Transport Company has suspended bus services on five eastern routes as continuous heavy rain and flooding disrupt travel across the region.

The state-owned national bus operator said private operators had informed it that services are halted until further notice on the Bangkok–Rayong old route, Bangkok–Pattaya for vans only, the Bangkok–Chanthaburi–Trat routes operated by Thanthawee Transport, and the Bangkok–Wang Nam Yen–Khlong Hat service.

The company’s own buses continue running as normal, but it is monitoring the floods closely as rain persists nationwide and stands ready to adjust services to weather and road conditions.

Passengers are urged to follow local forecasts and flood updates and allow extra time to reach terminals, with Mo Chit 2, Ekamai, the Southern Bus Terminal on Borommaratchachonnani Road, Pinklao and the Chatuchak minibus terminal among those affected by weather-related congestion.
