German Man Seriously Injured In Pattaya Hotel Balcony Fall
PATTAYA, Thailand – A 33-year-old German man has been seriously injured after plunging backwards from a second-floor hotel balcony in Pattaya early on 1 October, with police now working to establish exactly what happened at the property on Soi Pratumnak 2.
Mother And Daughter Injured In Fourth-floor Bangkok Apartment Fall
Pattaya City Police were alerted at 3.15am and called in Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Pattaya rescue volunteers. The injured man, identified as P. H., was found on the ground beside the hotel with head wounds and heavy bleeding, and was given first aid before being rushed to hospital. Bloodstains, broken branches and one of his shoes lay in the area beneath the balcony.

A friend told officers that P. H. had been smoking on the balcony outside his second-floor room and was leaning back against the wall when he toppled backwards. The friend then alerted hotel staff, and receptionist Daeng, 52, said the man had been staying on the second floor with a friend of the same nationality who ran to reception to report the fall.

Detectives inspected the room and found no signs of a struggle or anything else suspicious, though they did discover broken glass, cannabis and smoking equipment, all photographed and logged as evidence. Police are continuing to question the friend and review the evidence as they piece together the cause of the incident.
