Police arrested a 27 year old Thai Man in the early hours of Tuesday armed with a loaded shotgun who was searching for his friend who left him to pay a bar bill of 1,000 Baht.

Reports came in to Police of the man, later named as Khun Pracha, who was walking the streets with the shotgun.

The incident occurred on August 25, 2015, when Pattaya police arrested Pracha Yawongka, a 27-year-old native of Sakon Nakhon. He was taken into custody in South Pattaya after wandering through his neighborhood drunk, shirtless, and armed with a loaded shotgun.

The suspect told police that he had met a new “friend” near the Bali Hai Pier who offered to treat him to drinks and pay the entire bill. However, once Pracha became heavily intoxicated, his companion suddenly hopped on a motorcycle and sped away, leaving him stuck with a 1,000-baht bar tab.

Enraged by the betrayal, Pracha went home, grabbed his shotgun, and went out into the street (specifically Soi Sukhumvit-Pattaya 44) to hunt down the man who had abandoned him.The Arrest: Frightened residents alerted authorities around 2:00 AM. When police arrived, Pracha briefly pointed the weapon at officers, forcing them to take cover, before fleeing into a nearby wooded area where he was ultimately apprehended. Officers recovered the shotgun with one shell chambered and two extra rounds in his pocket.
