Two minor earthquakes strike two districts in Nan province, no casualties reported

NAN, 24 May 2014 (NNT) – A 3.6-magnitude earthquake was reported today at 10:00 a.m. in Nan Province with its epicenter located in Na Noi district. Soon after, a 3.1-magnitude earthquake was recorded at 10:19 a.m. in Wiang Sa district, according to a local official.

The Bureau of Environment Geology Director, Somboon Khositanont, said the tremor areas in the north of Thailand are situated on the Uttaradit fault.
