Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to sue FIFA

BANGKOK, 8 November 2012 (NNT) – Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has let on it is considering suing FIFA over its decision to not use the Bangkok Futsal Arena to host the 2012 Futsal World Cup.

Bangkok governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra yesterday responded to the FIFA announcement, revealing the BMA is looking at ways to sue the world football governing body for causing it damage.

He went on to say that FIFA had yet to explain to the BMA specifically why the new futsal stadium was not suitable and while acknowledging that it was likely due to the delay in the construction of its tournament facility, explained that when the organization picked Thailand to host the Futsal World Cup, construction of the Futsal Arena was not imposed as a condition for hosting the competition.
