Kamala Police confirmed the arrest on Thursday, February 13th, stating that the French national was taken into custody and brought to Kamala Police Station. He was charged with reckless driving, a serious offense under Thai traffic laws.

The case was swiftly processed by the local court, which handed down a sentence of two months imprisonment. In addition to the suspended sentence, the court imposed a fine of 6,000 Baht (approximately $170 USD).

The incident has sparked widespread criticism on social media, with many users condemning the rider’s actions as irresponsible and dangerous. Reckless driving poses significant risks not only to the rider but also to other road users, and such stunts are strictly prohibited under Thai law.

Local authorities have reiterated the importance of adhering to traffic regulations and warned both locals and tourists against engaging in similar behavior.
