BANGKOK (NNT) – The Prime Minister’s visit starts with an assessment of the ongoing construction of Lan Na Airport, slated to become Chiang Mai”s second airport. He is also scheduled to receive a briefing on a campaign to transform the city’s iconic red taxi trucks into electric vehicles (EVs), a crucial move towards sustainable transportation in the province. Another aspect of his tour includes the development of the third ring road, aiming to enhance Chiang Mai”s transportation infrastructure.
A key part of the Prime Minister”s agenda is addressing environmental concerns, focusing on the challenges posed by PM2.5 dust particles and wildfire smoke in the North. Srettha is set to visit the airfield of the Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation Department in the capital district to observe cloud seeding operations and rainmaking techniques.
