Tsunami Memorial Events Held in Andaman Coastal Provinces

PHANG-NGA, Dec 26 (TNA) – Thailand’s Andaman coastal provinces have commemorated the 19th anniversary of the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami which killed thousands in Thailand alone.

Khao Lak and Tsunami Memorial Park in Ban Nam Khem

In Phang-nga, Ban Nam Khem villagers and relatives of the dead victims participated in the event at the Tsunami Memorial Garden in Takuapha district. Baan Nam Khem is a fishing village where over 1,400 residents were killed in the disaster.
