Thai PM Hosts Chinese New Year and Veterans Day Celebrations

BANGKOK (NBT WORLD) – Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra welcomed officials and dignitaries at Thai Khu Fah Building, Government House, this morning (Jan 28) to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year Festival 2025 and Veterans Day. The event was attended by government ministers, the Chinese Ambassador to Thailand, Han Zhiqiang, and senior officials, including Tourism Authority of Thailand Governor Thapanee Kiatphaiboon.

Bangkok’s Chinatown Celebrates Chinese New Year with Reduced Incense Burning

The prime minister enjoyed a cultural performance titled “The Resonance of the Lute at Your Doorstep,” presented by artists from China’s Yunnan and Zhejiang provinces. To honor the Year of the Snake, Ambassador Han gifted her a red snake doll while she presented the Chinese official oranges, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune.
