The suitcase was discovered on the morning of January 11, 2025, by a local resident walking in a wooded area off a dirt road near Pattaya. The location, known for its seclusion, is often used as a dumping ground for trash and discarded items.

Upon opening the suitcase, authorities found a human skeleton wrapped in plastic. Initial observations suggest the body had been decomposing for several months.

Some personal belongings were found with the remains, but identification is still a major challenge.

Police are analyzing the suitcase and plastic wrapping for fingerprints or DNA evidence. Nearby CCTV footage is being reviewed to trace any suspicious activities in the area.

Investigators are cross-referencing the discovery with reports of missing individuals in Pattaya and neighboring provinces. DNA samples from the skeleton will be compared against national and international databases to identify the victim.
