Pattaya Karaoke Bar Raid Uncovers Underage Patrons, Illegal Workers, and Drug Use

At 5:36 AM on December 12th, officers from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), along with the Anti-Human Trafficking Division (AHTD), conducted a raid on four karaoke venues in Soi Koh Phai 2 in Pattaya. The operation followed a tip-off from concerned citizens who alleged that the venues illegally employed foreign workers, operated after legal hours, and allowed drug use.

Forty People Tested Positive for Illegal Drugs in Pattaya Raid

The raid targeted four venues, publicly revealed by authorities as Route 66 Karaoke, Num Karaoke, Happy Time Karaoke, and Unis Karaoke. Patrons were found inside three of the venues, including Route 66, Happy Time, and Unis Karaoke, but no illegal activities were detected at these locations. However, at Num Karaoke, the venue was still operating although it already passed legal hours.
