Gas Tank Explosion at Rayong Steel Plant Injures Dozens

RAYONG, Dec 18 (TNA) – A gas tank explosion occurred at a steel factory in Ban Khai district, Rayong province on Wednesday, injuring dozens of workers and trapping several others inside the plant.

The blast took place at around 10:30 AM at Xin Ke Yuan Steel Co., Ltd., a steel manufacturing facility located in Ban Khai district. Emergency responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to contain the fire and rescue those trapped inside.

According to the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, as of 11:40 AM, at least ten people were reported injured and more than twenty were still unaccounted for inside the plant.
