Bangkok is the world’s 12th most polluted city today

Bangkok is ranked the 12th most polluted city in the world today, according to the IQ Air report. Sixty-three areas of the city have excessive levels of PM2.5 dust, with the worst being Nong Khaem district.

Bangkok Ranks among Top 10 Most Polluted Cities

The world rankings are:

1. Baghdad in Iraq, AQI 278
2. Cairo in Egypt, AQI 224
3. Dhaka in Bangladesh, AQI 218
4. Kampala in Uganda, AQI 205
5. Karachi in Pakistan, AQI 186
6. Calcutta in India, AQI 185
7. Lahore in Pakistan, AQI 175
8. Delhi in India, AQI 167
9. Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia, AQI 166
10. Hanoi in Vietnam, AQI 166
11. Wuhan in China, AQI 164
12. Bangkok in Thailand, AQI 159
