Surat Thani Acting Governor Teeruth Supawiboonpol, aware of the event’s appeal to thousands of international visitors, stressed the importance of handling the situation with care. Security and intelligence agencies are verifying report sources and conducting thorough investigations, with no current indications of suspicious activity in the area.
Security checks on Koh Pha Ngan, an area accessible only by boat, have been heightened, with increased inspections of people and items entering and exiting the island. Additional personnel have been stationed to support tourists and maintain a secure environment.
Governor Teeruth affirmed that while Surat Thani is addressing these concerns proactively, efforts are focused on preventing unnecessary public alarm and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for the region’s visitors.
