Chiang Mai province has initiated a city cleanup campaign in preparation for the upcoming tourism season, following the recent flooding disaster. The provincial hall has organized a large-scale cleaning event aimed at removing mud and debris from the streets and homes affected by the disaster.

Governor Nirat Phongsittithaworn of Chiang Mai officiated the Big Cleaning Day event, which focuses on restoring the city from the damage caused by the flooding.
Teams comprising government officials, volunteers from private companies, and community members have been mobilized to wash away mud and clear debris from the streets, walkways, and buildings in anticipation of the tourism season.
