Police arrested two Hong Kong men at Siam Paragon on Tuesday evening, saying they sent short messages with fraudulent links to steal money from mobile banking accounts of phone users at Bangkok shopping malls.

Tai Loi, 43, and Man Lok Lee, 25, were arrested in front of the mall in Pathumwan district with a portable electronic device known as a false base station or “Stingray” and four mobile phones, said Pol Lt Gen Worawat Watnakhonbancha, commissioner of the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau.
