BURIRAM, March 27 (TNA) – Local authorities in collaboration with the private sector designates March 27, Lisa Blackpink’s birthday as ‘Buriram Meatball Day’, with over 700 kilograms of pork balls given away for free.
BLACKPINK’s Lisa Embraces Thai Heritage and Spotlights Local Fabrics
Thai singer, rapper, and K-Pop sensation Lisa Manoban, also known as Lisa Blackpink is a Burirum native. She made the local delicacy, deep-fried meatball called “Luk Chin Yuen Kin” (translated as eating meatball while standing) well-known when she expressed her craving for the meatballs sold at Buriram train station, her hometown. Thanks to Lisa, local vendors of Buriram-style meatballs enjoy a surge in sales again.
