Bangkok Gay Men’s Chorus: Harmonizing Voices and Hearts Beyond the Stage

Despite being just a year old, the Bangkok Gay Men’s Chorus has already carved a vibrant melody into the city’s cultural fabric. This group of 20 dedicated volunteers isn’t just raising voices in songs: they’re weaving threads of inclusivity and acceptance through music, reaching far beyond the stage.

Their commitment extends beyond captivating audiences. The chorus members dedicate their time and talent to volunteering music instruction at a local high school, fostering a love for music and empowering young minds. Their dedication was further evident at the recent Bangkok Pride 2023, where they took the center stage as a leading performance team. Their harmonious voices and electrifying energy wowed the crowds, transforming the pride stage into a pulsating celebration of individuality and love.

But the chorus’ impact isn’t confined to the spotlight. They actively engage with the LGBTQI community, performing at 15 events in a year. From commercial gigs to non-profit initiatives, their music resonates with a message of unity and empowerment, bridging gaps and building bridges of understanding within the community.

Thailand’s Cabinet Approves Marriage Equality Bill

Sarawut Burapapat, Outreach & Patron Services Director said that they’re ambassadors of acceptance, using their voices to harmonize not just musical notes, but hearts and minds. In a single year, they’ve woven a tapestry of hope and joy, proving that music has the power to transcend differences and create a symphony of inclusivity.
