Woman admits she made up story of taxi driver’s attack

Police were preparing to press charges against a 26-year-old woman for filing a false complaint about being attacked and robbed by a taxi driver in Bangkok early Wednesday.

Thongpakai Suksrirat told police at Lat Phrao station that a taxi driver repeatedly slashed her and robbed her of about 14,000 baht in cash, a luxury-brand bag, ATM cards and ID card.
