Teen strangled to death in Surat Thani detention centre

A teenager ended up strangled to death in a Surat Thani juvenile detention centre despite being moved to a separate section as rivals were brought in.

Muang Surat Thani police summoned at 1.30am on Tuesday found the unnamed 17-year-old dead in his bed, several parts of his body showing signs of injury and a towel nearby, possibly used to strangle him.
