Govt frowns on inappropriate reports of late King by foreign media

BANGKOK, 17 October 2016 (NNT) – The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounces some foreign media outlets whose news reports about the passing of His Majesty the King are erroneous and provocative. The ministry urges the media to avoid reporting similar stories about the King’s death.

The ministry on Monday issued a statement to denounce the foreign media, saying that there were many hundreds of thousands, instead of many thousands of people, who lined up along the route of the royal funeral procession on 14 October 2016. The statement says HM the King unified the hearts of all Thais and he always worked for the nation tirelessly.
