Youth detained for drink driving killing a traffic police officer

A 22-year-old youth was detained after he crashed his Toyota Yaris car into a security checkpoint on Phahonyothin road in Don Mueang area killing a traffic police officer on duty last night.

He was later charged with drink driving, in addition to causing death and reckless driving, after blood alcohol test showed the amount of alcohol exceeding permitted amount.
