Two former members of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) were Wednesday sentenced to two years and four months each by the Criminal Court after they were found guilty of trespassing on the compound of the Interior Ministry and of illegal assembly during violent protests against the Abhisit government in 2009.
The two defendants, Chaiwat Thongmoon and Arun Chayachan, were charged by the prosecutor with trespassing on the compound of the Interior Ministry in their attempt to capture then prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva.
