PM affirms flood control in place, and that Bangkok residents shouldn’t worry

BANGKOK, 27 September 2016 (NNT) – The Prime Minister has given assurances that the authorities are prepared with an integrated water management plan and are working to solve the flood issue, saying people in Bangkok should not worry about the water situation.

Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has said regarding the solving of flooding problems, especially in Bangkok areas, that the government is now working to solve the issue as it is not a simple task and may require some time as the area that Bangkok is located in is a lowland with a legacy drainage system is not up to handling the capacity of the current water levels.
