PM thanks public for not sharing fake PM Facebook page

BANGKOK, 16 August 2016 (NNT) – Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has relayed his gratitude to members of the public who refused to disseminate information from a Facebook page posing as the prime minister himself.

Spokesperson to the Prime Minister’s Office Maj Gen Sansern Kaewkumnerd spoke about a Facebook page that has been publishing fake comments by the prime minister regarding last week’s attacks in the South. He relayed the prime minister’s appreciation to those who did not share posts by the fake page as well as his caution that the act is considered a form of defamation.
