Local deputy police chief’s son arrested for encroachment

TRANG – The son of a local deputy police chief has been arrested for allegedly encroaching on more than 100 rai of Hat Chao Mai National Park.

A 200-strong team of officials drawn from the Phaya Suea special task force of the National Parks, the Wildlife and Plant Conservation Ministry, police and soldiers on Thursday raided a 120-rai plantation in tambon Mai Fad in Sikao district of this southern province.
