Nong Khai kicks off its candle festival

NONGKHAI, 12 July 2014 (NNT) – The northeastern province of Nongkhai kicked off its candle festival on Friday night.

The event, under the theme of “Lighting up candles at dusk, watching the lights of the Mekhong riverside town”, has been held for three consecutive years. Nongkhai has boasted that it is the only city that holds the candle festival at night.
