BANGKOK, 19 March 2014 (NNT) – Prime Minister and Defense Minister Yingluck Shinawatra says she is ready to defend herself against charges stemming from the government’s rice subsidy program.
Although admitting that she was worried about giving her testimony to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) who has charged her for dereliction of duty over the rice subsidy scheme, Prime Minister Yingluck said she was ready to testify.
The NACC has recently given her 15 more days to prepare documents for her testimony she has until March 29th.
If found guilty, Miss Yingluck would be forced to step down as prime minister.
