BANGKOK, Aug 30 – Thai authorities said Friday that they had seized smuggled ivory worth Bt16 million in a shipment from Angola to Bangkok, en route to Cambodia.
Customs Department Deputy Director-General Yuttana Yimgarund and National Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservation Department Deputy Director-General Sermyot Sommun jointly told a news conference ofn the seizure.
