BANGKOK, 23 May 2013 (NNT) – The weather bureau has issued warnings for the people of Thailand to watch out for the threats of continued thunderstorms and strong winds forecast at least until Friday.
The Thai Meteorological Department warned on Thursday that the west wind active over the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand continued to remain strong for at least another day.
As a result, heavy and very heavy rains could hit several parts of Thailand’s East. At the same time, strong winds and high waves have been expected both in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand.
As many as 31 provinces, from Mae Hong Son down in the North to Trang in the South, and from Kanchanaburi in the West to Sa Kaeo in the Northeast as well as Trat in the eastern seaboard, will be affected by such unfavorable weather conditions.
