BANGKOK, 29 September 2012 (NNT) – A monsoon trough is still prevalent in the lower central part, the upper South and the East of Thailand. Residents in disaster prone areas have been told to embrace for flash floods and mudslides.
According to a report by the Meteorological Department, heavy downpours can be expected across the country today. Fishermen must take precautions while at sea during this time. The report also suggested that Typhoon Jelawat, which is moving from Okinawa toward mainland Japan, should not have any impact on Thailand.
