Three presumed insurgents killed, 3 government troops wounded in Pattani clash

PATTANI, Feb 21 – Three suspected insurgents were killed while three security personnel were wounded on Tuesday in the latest clash in Thailand’s insurgency-torn southern province of Pattani.

The firefight took place as a group of ten government soldiers and paramilitary rangers were building a roadside checkpoint for a village defense unit in Panare district when seven armed men in a pickup truck began shooting at them.
