BANGKOK, Feb 25 – Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Saturday said she believed that flood, if they were to happen this year, would not be severe like the flood crisis of the previous year, while the government would heed HM the King’s advice to protect forests and prevent deforestation.
During her weekly TV programme, “Yingluck Government Meets the People” broadcast via National Broadcasting Services of Thailand and Radio Thailand, Ms Yingluck said that if there was a flood this year, the situation would not be critical like the flood crisis in 2011 as the government has prepared a response plan and better management.
