TRANG, Feb 21 – The Thai authorities on Tuesday seized 111 endangered pangolins in a crackdown on a wildlife smuggling syndicate and arrested two suspects in Thailand’s southern province of Trang.
The 111 confiscated scaly ant-eaters, contained in 36 nets, were valued at about Bt1.25 million (about US$42,000), said Pol Col Thammanoon Traitippong, deputy commander of Trang provincial police.
