BANGKOK, 30 January 2012 (NNT) – Rak Thailand Party leader Chuwit Kamolvisit has revealed new photos of what could be another gambling den to the press, hinting that the place is about to open for business.
According to Mr. Chuwit, the new casino is located within the heart of Bangkok and has a resemblance to the previous one on Ratchadapisek Road. The report said Mr. Chuwit plans to personally bring the photographic evidence to National Police Chief Police General Priewpan Damapong for his consideration.
The Rak Thailand Party leader said gambling is a problem that has permeated into every level of the Thai society, even among civil servants and politicians. He explained that his ongoing attempt to expose illegal gambling dens is to remind policemen and related authorities of their responsibility to the country, rather than to discredit the government or to force the police chief out of his position as accused by the Pheu Thai Party spokesman.
In addition, Mr. Chuwit has been authorized by the chairman of the House committee on police affairs to summon operators of illegal casinos as well as entertainment venues that remain open during prohibited hours for questioning.
The outspoken party leader lastly declared that he will expose illegal activities to the public every month from now on and that he intends to speak about human trafficking next month.
