Thailand on alert for more floods from the upcoming tropical storm Nalgae which expected to hit Thailand next week.
During 1-2 Oct, tropical depression “Typhoon Nesat” covers upper Vietnam and the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over Andaman Sea, the south and the Gulf of Thailand. This cause isolated heavy rain in the North and the Northeast of Thailand. During 3 – 6 OCT, the active southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the south and the Gulf of Thailand. The typhoon Nalgae in the South China Sea will move to the coastal of Vietnam during 5-6 Oct. Rain and isolated heavy falls continues in the East and the South west-coast. More rain and isolated heavy fall is expected in the Northeast and the Central during 6-7 Oct. The wind-wave in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand with 2-3 meters height throughout the period.
People in the risky areas beware of heavy rain and flooding. During 1-2 and 6-7 Oct, in the Northeast and during 3-7 Oct, in the East and the South west-coast. All ships should proceed with caution and small boat in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand keep ashore throughout the period.
