Thailand’s prime minister has assured that inner Bangkok will not be flooded but urged all city residents to keep a close eye on the situation.
She also confirms there is no apparent need to announce a state of emergency to cope with the flooding.
Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra said she believed inner Bangkok will not be flooded as the area is inside the flood walls.
The PM expected that incoming water from the North will not raise the water level in Bangkok and will not obstruct traffic along the Chao Phraya River.
