BANGKOK, 9 September 2011 (NNT) – Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has met with foreign ambassadors to clarify government policies and assured them that Thailand’s relations with their countries will be strengthened.
This morning, Prime Minister Yingluck received the ambassadors of ASEAN nations at Thai Khu Fa Building, Government House. Afterwards, a group of 102 officials, comprising foreign ambassadors, consuls-general and heads of international organizations, also visited the Thai premier at the nearby Santi Maitri Building to congratulate her upon her assumption of office.
On this occasion, Ms Yingluck presented her vision to expedite the enhancement of the relationship between Thailand and all other countries, especially in political, economic and social aspects.
She also emphasized four main policies of the Government, which consist of promoting the Thai economy through foreign trade and investment, pushing forward the national reconciliation process, preparing Thailand for becoming a part of the ASEAN Community in 2015 and increasing the country’s role on the global stage.
