Despite the holy month of Ramadan, violence continues to rage on in Thailand southern provinces with the latest attack resulting in the death of a Pattani religious teacher.
As a result, the Southern Border Provinces Teachers Association has pressured security agencies to step up teacher escort operations.
Pattani’s Nong Jik police inspected a home in Bor Thong Subdistrict after they were notified that a man was shot.
The man gunned down was later identified as 39-year-old former religious teacher Al-asnee Jema, based in Yaring District.
