Bangkok voted Best-Value City in the World

BANGKOK, 2 July 2011 (NNT) – Bangkok has been voted the World’s Best-Value City in the June 2011 issue of the Sunday Times Travel Magazine, one of the most popular monthly travel magazines of the UK, according to the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).

TAT Deputy Governor Chutaporn Rerngron-asa announced that the honor was awarded to the Thai capital city as part of the Value for Money Awards 2011 arranged by the Sunday Times Travel Magazine.

The award was voted by magazine readers, including writers and experts who cast their votes on direct experience from their visit to Bangkok in the past year. The criteria used include the city’s best value in terms of admission fees to places of attraction and transportation fees.
