It was inevitable that we’d see an iPad 2 release sometime soon as supplies in both grey market and official channels have been depleted and shops were even selling their dummy display units. On May 6, official Apple stores throughout Thailand will allow us the benefit of lining up in front of their stores before opening time to grab this year’s refresh of the device that changed put tablets into the mainstream. Having recently destroyed my OQO 01+ in a DIY painting attempt mishap, and my original iPad officially becoming my child’s personal entertainment system which I have to “ask nicely” for, I start to ponder whether or not I should also queue up for an iPad 2.
On the other hand, there is the newly released Acer Iconia tablets. The A500 Android version looks amazing running Honeycomb on its beautiful 10 inch HD screen and internal 16GB should be enough to avoid the low disk space woes that plague many Android users.
