Apple — the Cupertino maker of Mac computers and “I” devices — invited developers (at least those willing to pay the $1,599 price of admission) to its yearly Worldwide Developers Conference to learn about the future of its Mac and iPhone operating systems.
“At this year’s conference we are going to unveil the future of iOS and Mac OS,” Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide product marketing, said in a news release. “If you are an iOS or Mac OS X software developer, this is the event that you do not want to miss.”
