Central Pattaya entertainment area raided by Pattaya Police

As part of Pattaya Police’s continuing city-wide crime suppression operation, officers conducted a total of 15 raids on establishments in the Soi Chayapoom area in Central Pattaya, a popular area consisting of bars and go-go’s frequented by foreign tourists and ex-pats.

Prior to the raid, a briefing by Police Colonel Nantawoot took place at Pattaya Police Station and then the officers, who were joined by colleagues from the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, made their way to the area and found that many of the bars they intended to visit had already been closed down as information had already filtered through to bar owners that the raid was taking place.
