Young Tooting man paralysed and stranded in Thailand
A salesman from Tooting is stranded in a Thai hospital after he was paralysed in a crash and did not have insurance.
Tom Moss, 27, was left blind and unable to move from the neck down after his moped was hit by two cars and a lorry in Thailand.
Now his family are trying to raise £35,000 to fly him home – but have so far only found a fraction of the money needed.
His sister, Jamie Harvey, 32, said: “He was out there travelling and living his dream. We didn’t hear much from him apart from the odd Facebook message.
“Then, two weeks ago, we got an email asking us to call the hospital because he was in a motorbike accident.
“It’s been a really emotional time.”
