About 20 representatives of Farmers Organisation Network of Thailand gathered at Government House on Thursday, calling for concrete measures to end farmers’ debt problems.
Prayuth Veerakitti, leader of the group , said his network had earlier petitioned Khunying Supattra Masdith, an adviser to the prime minister, asking for government help to solve problems debt-stricken farmers, but no action had been taken, reports said.
“The government immediately approved a budget to help ease the difficulties of people and businesses affected by the recent political violence.
