BANGKOK, March 7 (TNA) — Thai police have apprehended a man suspected of involvement in a hand grenade attack at a Bangkok Bank branch in the capital last weekend, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said Sunday.
Mr Abhisit told journalists after his weekly TV and radio broadcast that police are questioning the suspect, who was believed to have been the driver of the motorcycle used in last week’s hand grenade incident at the bank.
Bangkok Bank’s Silom Road branch was one of four targeted for bombing on February 27.
On reports that army weapons and explosives were stolen from an arms depot supervised by the Fourth Army Region, responsible for security in the South, Mr Abhisit said the army is investigating.
